THE BATTLE FOR KRUSTPILS BRIDGEHEAD 30 JUNE-1 JULY 1941: COLONEL SHTYKOV’S DETACHMENT AGAINST THE 1st PANZER DIVISION

This article for the first time in the historical science presents an unknown episode of the Great Patriotic war – an attempt of Colonel Shtykov’s consolidated detachment of the 12th mechanized corps of the Red Army to prevent the expanding of the Krustpils bridgehead by the 41st motorized corps of the Wehrmacht on June 30 - July 1, 1941.
